Constellation: Cassiopeia

Cassiopeia is easily recognizable in the sky because of its bright and has a distinctive W shape. On our website we use it as a sign post constellation to find other astronomical targets.

As this constellation crosses the Milky Way galaxy this constellation is very rich in astronomical targets including, clusters, doubles and galaxies.

What equipment do you need to see Cassiopeia?

Technically you don't need any equipment at all to see Cassiopeia! However, to see the fainter stars in the constellation, especially from a light-polluted location would require a good pair of binoculars.
