How to find the Perseus Double Cluster

There are many open clusters in the nights sky but without a doubt the most impressive is the Double Cluster.

The Double Cluster located in the constellation of Perseus is so large you will need a low power eyepiece or a pair of binoculars to see the majesty of the clusters NGC 869 and NGC 884.

It is possible to see the whole of the Double Cluster with a low focal length telescope and a low-powered eyepiece. However, often the easiest way to see the whole of the Double Cluster in a single view is to use a standard pair of binoculars.
